PERFECT!
What a journey! Thank you to all of our family & friends for your support and love throughout this pregnancy. We wanted this baby so badly and waited what seems like forever to have him.
So for a quick little bit about the birth:
(It's pretty funny because a few times that week I joked with Steven about going to the hospital and acting like I was having contractions but they must have mysteriously stopped right when I got there. I just wanted him out, lol.)
So I go into my appointment, get weighed (geez, hit that mark I didn't want to but only gained a total of 17lbs this pregnancy so GO ME!) blood pressure is good, baby is measuring good. 4cm! 80% effaced!
Dr. says to us that she was just over at the hospital and that they are pretty busy and have scheduled inductions for that night and the following morning. So she basically says what I've been telling Steven! To go over there and act like I'd been contracting and they will check me, see that I had made progress from my last appointment and then call her and she will tell them to admit me.
I decided to go home first and see Figero and get some last minute things (carseat was pretty important yeah?) so we did that and then headed over to the hospital.
After lying through my teeth (which I am horrible at) she checks me and says I'm only 3cm. I want to kick her in the face because I know she's lying...and I also want to kick her in the face because that was the most painful exam in the world...anyways, I can't really say much since I wasn't being honest either...but she ends up calling the doctor and comes back in and tells me I'm a lucky girl because the doctor decided to admit me. Ha lady! If you only knew our master plan!
So I'm admitted, things go pretty quickly. Didn't push for very long. Caden was in the room with us the entire time doing what any curious 4 1/2 year old would be doing...sleeping!
Once his brother was born we woke him up for a look and he looked over at him like ehhh...ok, can I go back to sleep..and was out again.
Spent a full day in the hospital and was sent home yesterday.
I don't really like details so that is pretty much what you get!
Caden has been an amazing big brother so far and being a mom of two hasn't exactly hit me yet since I'm not yet back to my best yet and I have all the help in the world at my fingertips.
Life is good. So very good. Check the picture page for a glance into our little Heaven.
XO,
Lynnette {TOTALLY NOT PREGNANT ANYMORE!!!}
P.S.
Both Caden & Carter were born at 40w3d and on Thursdays!

Due Date

{<---Due Date Belly}

Hello due date!

Hello stretch marks that are starting to break open and bleed!

Hello 10th month of pregnancy!

I didn't think I'd make it this far. I thought for sure this kid would have been out by late December, maybe the first few days of January. Tricky little fellow! Had mommy convinced, but he knows otherwise.

It would be lovely if he'd clue me in on his plans, but I suppose he doesn't have to listen to me just yet...he's still in charge of things.

We went in today for our NST (Non Stress Test) to make sure that his heartrate is fine and that the fluid levels are good and both were just peachy. Wednesday we have an appointment with our doctor and then Thursday we will have another NST. I like to go to bed thinking tonight will be the night, but that thought hasn't worked so far.

We haven't made a decision on being induced yet. We will talk to the doctor about that on Wednesday but I'm hoping he'll come before that. Again...hoping.

A while back we made a chain of how many days were left until the baby. We took one off each night....and now the chain is gone and Caden is wondering where the heck his brother is....

XO,

Lynnette {40w}
